Woman Born With Backwards Feet Says She Is Not Disabled, Just Different
Wang Fang of Chongqing, China was born with abnormal hands and feet, but doesn’t let her disability stop her from running a normal life. She has backwards feet and doctors thought she would never be able to walk properly. However, this brave woman has defied all odds and leads a pretty normal life.
She works in a restaurant as a waitress and says she is not disabled, just different than other people. And she adds that the only thing that makes her different is the fact she puts her shoes on backwards every morning.
Wang even claims that sometimes backwards feet are an advantage because she can run faster than most of her friends.
“I can run faster than most of my friends and have a regular job as a waitress in the family restaurant. There is no reason to class me as disabled. I can walk as well as anyone else and even run faster than them. I’m like everyone else – except of course that I put my shoes on backwards.”
And, she has also turned down disability benefits.
Wang is not the only person to overcome a rare disability and lead a normal life.
Brazilian man Claudio Vieira de Oliveira became an inspirational public speaker despite being born with his head upside down.
