Wasted Florida Mom Tries To Pick Up Kid From School
A 27-year-old New Port Richey mom was extremely drunk when she arrived at an elementary school to pick up her child.
The staff at Trinity Elementary School say Renata Congleton was very intoxicated last Friday afternoon when she tried to take her kid home.
Congleton hit two vehicles and left the school before Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, according to an arrest affidavit.
When the police found her, she started cursing them and kicked and scratched the officers until they managed to take her to the ground.
Her blood-alcohol level at the time of her arrest was .41, more than five times the legal limit in Florida, according to television station WFLA.
Congelton is charged with child neglect, battery of a police officer and resisting arrest. Her bond was set at $15,000.
