Want A Free Meal? Tattoo The Restaurant Logo!
A woman went to extreme lengths to make sure her father could enjoy free meals for a year at his favorite curry house by getting a tattoo of their logo.
After searching for gift ideas for her father Norman, who has been a regular at the restaurant for 50 years, Beth Faulds got herself inked.
After coming across a Facebook post, where the Shish Mahal in Glasgow promised free curries to anyone who got such a tattoo, Beth immediately made up her mind.
“My dad is notoriously difficult to buy gifts for and I had been thinking hard about what to get him. I normally get him your standard dad gifts — like whisky, ties and socks — and he’d place it down and forget about it. So, I wanted to get him something a bit more imaginative.
I already had a couple of lilies on my hip to symbolise my mother and was struggling to think of an appropriate symbol for my dad. And that’s when I remembered the Facebook post from the Shish Mahal that promised free curries to anyone who got a tattoo of the restaurant.
So, it’s taken pride of place alongside the lilies on my right hip as two symbols of my parents.”
