Slipknot Member Stabbed In Head By Brother
Can the new slogan for Slipknot be – music for white trash by white trash? After what happened yesterday to their guitarist, it should be taken into consideration. Lead guitarist of the band Mick Thomson was taken to the hospital yesterday after being involved in a drunken brawl. And on top of that, the brawl took place at his own home and involved his own brother!
When all was said and done, Thomson ended up being stabbed in the back of the head by a member of his own family.
According to police reports, the two had apparently had a lot to drink before the fight erupted. The brawl was taken outside, which alerted neighbors to the scuffle, who eventually ended up calling the police.
Des Moines police then came to the scene to investigate and found the guitarist with a knife wound in the back of his head. Mick’s brother had some injuries as well, and both were taken to the hospital. Of course, they were taken in separate ambulances so that they would continue scuffling.
Thankfully, neither of them suffered life threatening injuries. Police said that both of them have been released from the hospital and that an investigation into the brawl is ongoing.
No arrest were made either.
Slipknot’s manager chimed in and was quick to assure all of the band’s fans that none of the injuries were serious and that Slipknot would continuing with its touring plans. They are expected to hit the road again next month.
