Morbid Anatomy Museum: Not For The Faint Of Heart
Joanna Ebenstein has turned her fascination with death and the bizarre anomalies and deformities of the body into a popular tourist attraction – The Morbid Anatomy Museum is located in Brooklyn and hosts several weird exhibitions we’re dying to see.
“People ask me all the time how I got involved in this sort of thing and … what some people would deem morbid stuff,”
“In my mind, all children are into it and I just never outgrew it.”
According to the museum’s official website, apart from the permanent and temporary exhibitions, the museum features lectures on wax anatomical models, bejeweled skeletons, and books bound in human skin.
In addition, people can participate in several workshops that focus on various morbid topics such as anthropomorphic mouse taxidermy, Victorian mourning jewelry, and insect shadowboxes.
The Morbid Anatomy Museum is located at 424 Third Ave, in Brooklyn, at the corner of 7th Street.
