Miss BumBum Contestant Almost Lost Her Life To Plastic Surgery
Andressa Urach, the runner-up in the 2012 edition of Miss BumBum, said that, in retrospect, she is the victim of her own vanity and stupidity and that she got caught up in plastic surgery, not thinking of the dangerous consequences.
Urach underwent a plastic surgery procedure to improve the appearance of her legs, with the goal of making them look fuller. However, the procedure backfired on her, and badly too. The chemical fillers in her legs literally started eating her flesh and doctors had to dig inside the tissue to save what could be saved of Ms. Urach’s legs.
The pictures of her legs released on the Internet are truly disturbing and hard to look at.
She went into septic shock and almost died, and today she is confined to a wheelchair, her legs practically destroyed. She has holes in her legs where the doctors were trying to reach the toxic chemicals and get them out. As for the septic shock, experts say that it probably happened because of the unhygienic surgical instruments that were used, which raises some doubts about the credibility and competence of the surgeons who performed the procedure.
Urach remembers that she never thought twice about going under the knife. She approached the whole thing kind of like grocery shopping – she would just go to a doctor’s office and say “I want this, this and that.” She admits that she got too caught up in plastic surgery, even addicted, as it sometimes happens to people who are constantly trying to improve their looks. Today, Urach is passionate about warning other women about the dangers of excessive cosmetic surgery.
