Man Arrested For Trying To Steal Back Gift He Gave To Neighbor
When buying Christmas gifts for other people, did you ever think, “Man, I could really use something like that as well?” A lot of people do have that thought. However, most normal people will just buy the item for themselves as well. But not Alfred Joseph Guercio.
This 54-year-old man from Minnesota gave his neighbor a set of knives last Christmas. But three months later he decided that he wanted the knives back. So he broke into his neighbor’s home and tried to retrieve them.
Unfortunately for him, he was arrested. According to Guericio, he wanted to take the knives back because his neighbor “did not appreciate” the gift.
It gets even weirder. The conflict started when Guercio came over to his neighbors house, entered the front door and started complaining that she was not using the knives the way that they agreed that she was supposed to be using them.
The neighbor said that she would go get the knives and give them back but simply turned around and shut the door. According to reports, Guercio stopped the door with his foot and entered the home uninvited. He then shoved the woman aside, took the knives, and left.
The neighbor then called the police, who came and arrested Guercio at his home. He said that he had to shove her because he didn’t think she would really give him the knives. Guercio could face up to 10 years in jail and $20,000 in fines. They must have been some pretty cool knives.
