Kansas Will Be Fully Prepared For A Zombie Apocalypse
If a zombie apocalypse happens in the near future, you better be in Kansas! The city authorities have decided to prepare for such an unlikely scenario, but stressed that when you are ready to combat zombies, you can survive any disaster.
Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has signed a “proclamation” naming October the state’s “Zombie Preparedness Month.” In addition, the Kansas Division of Emergency Management has started a campaign asking citizens to be ready for a zombie attack.
The announcement urges residents to prepare an emergency plan and enough supplies to last at least three days. Officials say the point of such preparedness is to equip citizens for a range of natural disasters, including tornados and severe storms.
“We came up with the idea of Zombie Preparedness Month because it is an engaging way to get people on board with emergency preparedness. If you’re equipped to handle the zombie apocalypse then you’re prepared for tornadoes, severe storms, fire and any other natural disaster Kansas usually faces. This is a fun and low-stress way to get families involved, and past turnouts have proven it to be effective. If you’re prepared for zombies, you’re prepared for anything.”
