Hundreds Of Coins, Nails Removed From Man’s Stomach
Rajpal Singh, a 34-year-old Indian man, went to the doctor complaining of terrible stomach pains. After an endoscopy was done on the man, it was revealed that he had a stomach full of metal. According to Singh, he had a serious and very weird addiction that resulted in this truly bizarre case.
He said that because of family problems and depression, he developed a habit in which he would eat coins, nails, pins, and other metal objects every morning along with some milk or fruit juice.
After the doctors saw what was inside his stomach, they scheduled an immediate surgery to remove all of these foreign objects. It actually took two operations to get everything out. One was done right away, and then a second operation was held three days later, after Singh’s body had recovered a bit from the first one.
And what did they find inside exactly? According to the chief doctors who operated on him, there were more than 140 coins, 150 nails, and many more batteries, needles, nuts and bolts in his stomach.
Of course, Singh said that he feels a lot better now, but who wouldn’t after getting all of that stuff removed from them? He said that he is done with his weird obsession of eating these metal objects and that he is never going to do it again.
Let’s hope so, because we can’t begin to imagine the kind of stomachaches he was going through with pounds of metal objects hanging out in his stomach all that time.
