Rosa Sanchez was arrested after 10 undercover police officers began taking photos with her Tuesday.
Since Super-man and Batman were taken into custody a few days back, a Midtown South Precinct source explained what’s going on.
“Over the past few months several of those who dress up as characters have become overly aggressive demanding money. They have no right to ask for a tip and it is entirely up to the tourists if they pay or not.
They are not obliged to give a dime. Over the past few weeks we’ve had all kinds of battles with Spiderman, Batman and Big Bird. Even Peppa Pig got aggressive at one point.”
When the 36-year-old Sanchez was searched, cops found that she had about $200 in dollar bills, fives and 20s in her possession.
She was arrested after she allegedly became aggressive over a small tip and was charged with aggressive solicitation.
This bust was relatively calm and peaceful compared to a recent drunken brawl between Batman, Spider-man and another man.
