Alaskan Reporter Delivers F-Bomb On Camera To Fight For Marijuana Legalization
A newsreader in Alaska has quit her job on live TV after reading a report about a medical marijuana business and revealing that she is the business’ owner.
KTVA Anchorage reporter Charlo Greene profanely resigned in the middle of a newscast, ending her segment with an F-bomb.
“Now everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska. And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, fuck it, I quit.”
Greene’s organization is fighting for the passage of Ballot Measure 2, which would legalize recreational amounts of marijuana in Alaska. According to the Cannabis Club’s new Indiegogo campaign, Greene wants to raise $5,000 to help the measure pass.
After the incident, KTVA’s news director Bert Rudman issued a statement in which he apologized for Greene’s behavior.
‘’Dear viewers, we sincerely apologize for the inappropriate language used by a KTVA reporter during her live presentation on the air tonight. The employee has been terminated.’’
