Adult Website Pornhub Launches Record Label

One of the most famous free porn sites in the world is apparently going into the music business.

Billboard reported that Pornhub launched their record label, as well as a contest to find the ultimate Pornhub anthem. The label has not yet announced any artists, but they are looking for a Pornhub-themed tune via a song search contest.

The winner will receive $5,000 in order to make a music video, video placement on Pornhub TV and a guaranteed minimum of 500,000 views of his or her video. However, the champion song doesnt guarantee a deal with the record label.

Pornhub vice president Corey Price explained their idea to Billboard.

“We’re looking for acts that aren’t necessarily porn-focused. We’re an ad-based network looking for content that appeals to our demographic. Mature lyrics for an adult audience; no boy bands or teen-pop, for instance.”

Matt Blake, the site’s head of PR and marketing said that Pornhub has always seen a strong music presence.

“Artists upload their own stuff, like uncensored tracks and R-rated versions of songs. Some people come in and upload exclusive videos, so it creates a buzz for them.”

For instance, Coolio announced earlier this year that he would be releasing music via the site.

In addition, electronic producer FaltyDL debuted the video for his ‘Some Jazz Shit’ single on Pornhub while Xiu Xiu did the same thing with the video for their ‘Black Dick’ video.

The Pornhub Song Search Contest will stop accepting entries on November 30th and all entrants must be at least 18.
